Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee where they choose a featured blogger every week along with a question for everybody to answer! It's an awesome way to meet new book bloggers and share the follower love :)

Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?
Well, I don't choose to read a certain genre based on my mood but you will ALWAYS find me reading when I am in a bad mood and by always, I really mean always ;) But I don't tend to change a book based on my mood unless it's a book that I'm not really enjoying, then if I'm in a bad mood, I'll definitely give it up. Honestly, because when I'm feeling down, I tend to escape my surrounding by reading a book, whether it's happy, funny, sad, wacky or even bloody, I don't care as long as I'm enjoying it, it really helps :) But then a book can change my mood to the better, sometimes even laughing but rarely does a book get me down. And quite recently was actually The Impossible Engnieers by M.J. Fletcher, as last week was a bit crappy for me but the one and only thing that got me laughing and all giddy was this book, I loved it.

I am the same way. A book can really bring me out of a bad mood. I love escapism! :)
Thanks for stopping by! Following back!
If a book changes my mood, most of the time it's for the better. But the Nicholas Sparks novels can get me really sad, like crying for days because of it. But that's part of the fun right?

It depends on what kind of bad I'm feeling. If it's a grumpy angry bad, I don't really read but listen to music. If it's a depressed bad, I ravage books XD Thanks for sharing, I'm following! :)

I like to read light and funny if I'm feeling sad. But I always like to read a good romance no matter what.

For me I find my mood changes the genre that I want to read. I go through blocks where I only read one genre, then I randomly change to another one. But I don't find myself reading certain books because of the way I feel. Although I do find that the way I feel has an impact on how much I enjoy the book! So if I'm angry or sad I try and take a break from reading till I get over it :)

NOTE: I haven't been commenting on other blogs lately because my laptop's charger is broke so until I get a new one I am using another computer but I guess there is something wrong with it because I can't leave comments on other blogs at all so sorry about that but I'll try and fix that asap. Thank you!
